Description
Jaime Montserrat (1948) "Relatos" 1998
Montserrat is highly regarded for his layered, contemporary abstract works and serigraphs that often explore rich textures, bold color planes (frequently utilizing deep reds, blacks, and golds), and symbolic or landscape-inspired geometry. In "Relatos" (which translates to "Stories" or "Tales"), the stylized, green-bordered glyphs serve as visual narratives or codices arranged against his signature heavily textured, vibrant red backdrop.
