Signed limited /25 screen print on paper, 62x51 cm, signed and dated "JMS.02" in pencil.
A soft graphite-gray oval vignette surrounds a pale, tower-like figure built from fine horizontal strokes, with a small fence at its base. A glowing yellow accent sits at the upper left of the form and a dark brown disc rests at its lower right, all on a warm off-white sheet with deckled edges.
José María Sicilia (b. Madrid, 1954) is a Spanish painter and printmaker who studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid and later worked for many years in Paris. He received Spain's Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas in 1989, and his work is held in major collections in Europe and the Americas.
